CARRIERS
Cranes use festoon cables and
their cable carriers are subject to more severe condition than
before because more cables required to meet the needs of higher
speeds and more functions of the crane
The cable carriers hang the
festoon cables than connect the crane body to the trolley and
are pulled by the traverse motion trolley. Breakage of trolley
disconnection of the whole crane, and the potential damage is
enormous.
Thus, each element of the cable
carrier is modeled, the force applied to each element is calculated
through dynamic analysis,
and the behavior of the cable carrier is obtained
quantitatively.
